East Barnet community flooded DIY SOS team with offers to help after Police Officer Kris Aves of East Barnet was injured in terror attack.
A Police Officer from East Barnet who was left paralysed in the terror attack on Westminster Bridge gets help from DIY SOS to allow him to return home to his partner and two children.
PC Kris Aves who lives in Baronsgate in East Barnet had his home renovated by the BBC DIY SOS team.
After an appeal to local shops, residents, builders etc to volunteer with the renovation the East Barnet community flooded the DIY SOS team with offers of help.
On March 22 PC Aves was returning from the Metropolitan Police's commendation ceremony, when he was mowed down by the terrorist's speeding car.
He was left with two broken legs, head injuries, damage to his elbow, shoulder and sternum, and a damaged spinal cord which now means he must use a wheelchair.
