Summer Soulstice - A Fantastic £45,000 - Cherry Lodge Cancer Care
Cherry Lodge Cancer Care has once again very good reason to thank Summer Soulstice and its supporters for their amazing support.
On August Bank Holiday Sunday 2019 members of the Soulstice crew gathered at the Black Horse pub in Barnet to hand over a huge cheque to Cherry Lodge Cancer Care. This year’s donation of £45,000 to help fund Cherry Lodge’s many services is truly impressive – and is testimony to the endless work of those who get involved in making the 2019 Summer Soulstice festival on 22nd June such a great success.
Local MP Theresa Villiers showed her ongoing support for Cherry Lodge and Summer Soulstice by attending despite having lost her voice.
Summer Soulstice has been supporting Cherry Lodge Cancer Care since 2007, when a group of Old Elizabethans got together to hold their first Soul Music festival in Barnet to raise money in memory of their school mate Andy Weekes, who died of cancer in the USA in 2006. Summer Soulstice is Cherry Lodge’s largest third-party supporter by far – and this year’s record donation of £45,000 takes the total they have raised for us to more than £400,000.
